Core Surgical Training Interview Preparation Course

Overview

This course aims to prepare you for Core Surgical Training interviews. Day 1 is a live, interactive, online course which can be accessed from the comfort of your own home. Day 2 is an optional, face-to-face practice session in London. The course is taught by senior surgeons and recent successful candidates.

• Understand the interview/recruitment format
• Understand the preparation required to succeed in interviews
• Practice interview skills
• Gain confidence with the interview process

Format

Day 1 – Lecture on core surgical training and interview format. Thereafter, candidates can volunteer to participate in a series of mock interviews stations via an interactive online platform. Continual feedback is given.

Day 2 – Face-to-face session for further interview practice in London (only available for candidates who have completed day 1; limited spaces available).

Suitability

This course is suitable for senior medical students, FY1s, FY2s and junior doctors in non-training positions applying for Core Surgical Training.
